Hello, we have changed names to "Storm Chasers" and have guilds on both Dark Iron (Lv.1, 5 tabs) and Lightning's Blade (Lv. 11, 7 tabs) servers.

As many people are aware, the Austin Pantless Society has been discussing beginning Cataclysm raids. Thus far, we've not been accomplishing much but the odd raid here and there. Hopefully, this is going to change in the near future. In order to accomplish this, I am planning a few changes to the guild. I would greatly appreciate feedback on the proposed changes, as I do not want to push anything on to the guild that is not desired. So, without too much fanfare, the changes that I feel are needed right now are:

1. I would like to change the guild ranks this week. As of right now, we have several groups that are empty or seem to be redundant in my eyes. For example, Directors and Council both have the exact same rights, except a Director needs an Authenticator on their account. To me this seems sort of redudant, and I am proposing that the Council rank be eliminated. In addition, I feel that we need rankings more suitable for raiding, as well as suitable for social-only members. The new rank list that I propose is as follows: 

• Director:3-6 characters that would be tasked with helping guide the guild in a correct and positive way. These would need to be people who are on fairly regularly, and can be trusted to make major guild decisions such as promotions and the like. They would have permissions almost equal to the Guild Master, and as such. I like the idea of making this a position that requires an authenticator.

  ---

• Raider: This rank would be awarded to the players that consistently show up for raids, are diligent about keeping gear up-to-date, and know their fights. They will have the exact same rights as the Nerds, with the added benefit of guild repair money and access to the Raider tab.

  ---

• Nerd: This rank will be awarded in almost the exact same manner as it is today. The majority of players will be awarded this rank. The permissions will be almost the exact same as they are now, with possibly more withdrawels allowed than currently provided. I'm open to changing the name, but people seem to like it and I do as well.

• Raider Initiate: This rank will be awarded to players that wish to raid but have not yet proven themselves. Players here will consist mostly of players that want to raid but are not currently geared properly, players that wish to raid but are not able to consistently show up for raids, and former Raiders that maybe need some more motivation to work harder. ;) In addition, Raiders that do not have anything in their Public Note will be awarded this rank.

  ---

• Social Initiate: This is the equivalent of the current Initiate ranking. These are new players that have not put anything in their Public Note and do not wish to raid.

2. We need to set up raid times. I had originally stated that I would announce the final times this upcoming week, but I believe I will hold off a little while longer, as at least two of our regular players are out of town and have no way to provide input as to when they would be available. I (Astovidatu or Eastre) will be online this weekend running instance for Valor and Justice points. Players wishing to raid, especially if their gear level is below 346, should join me. There is currently a forum post about raiding time, please read it when you have a moment. Remember, if you wish to raid but have no experience, I don't care. I would be more than glad to help you, so long as you are willing to put forth the effort that would be required.

3. I have never done serious PvP in WoW. I am definitely open to the idea, but I will need someone else to step up and take the lead on this. If someone does, I would be more than happy to add some PvP ranks as well.

4. I would LOVE to keep doing the fun social events we have been doing and planning. I really enjoy the Trivia Nights, and was disappointed that we were unable to have it last week. It might be short notice for this weekend as well, but if someone would like to provide questions for the event, I wiould be delighted. Just send me an email, or post in the forum, or message me when I am in-game.

We are seeking & welcoming new leaders to the guild.

New Leaders

Misty (Nerdgirl) has decided to start becoming the guild auctioneer. As in doing the job, she will determine which items in the bank will need to be sold and then replace them with mats for high level crafting goods such as gear, enchants and gems.

Misty (Deathfrosta) & Tashi (Zalababy) have both decided to become secretaries for the guild. As such, they will help maintain contact information for the guild, make sure people keeps their names in their notes & make sure guild rules & policies are kept up to date.

Seeking Leaders

• Raid Leader - organize raids & recruit raiders
• PVP Leader - organize PVP events & recruit pvpers
• Event Coordinator - organize events out of the norm such as hide & seek, amazing race and other things.

Remember, we are still a social/leveling guild but we are seeking to grow in many ways, please help out in recruiting.

Compedition & Events

• Guild Tabard Competition - See this thread on submitting your designs and see them posted by Randy after the due date.
• Regular event schedule - Post the days (plural) in which you would like to see us do regular events such as raids, instances, pvp, etc... in this thread.

We are having a guild meeting this wednesday at 7pm. Please start brain storming what you want. Some topics of discussion:

• raiding
• in-game events (trivia, scavenger hunting, amazing race, etc)
• pvp & battlegrounds
• leaders
  • Raiding - a or some leaders who plan on getting people ready to raid and lead those raids on a regular basis
  • Recruiting - someone/people who bring people into the guild. These people who do recruiting via websites such as facebook, twitter and other avenues to get people into the guild (austinites and non-austinites).
  • Event Planner - Come up with ideas such as scavenger hunting, trivia, hide and seek, etc...
  • Secretary - someone who manages notes in game and contact information for people. 
• RL meetups

Please post your comments and opinions below or say in game. I will try to keep this up to date. Also, as an added bonus, everyone who shows up at 7pm for the meeting will get 100g.

We are now working on forming alliances with other guilds. This will help enable us to do more things in game while still maintaining our guild. This is especially true in terms of raiding and grouping.

Currently, we are looking at a guild called Cruel Intentions to form an alliance. We may or may not form others, but if you would like to get the most out of alliances, there is an addon to greatly help with this. I highly recommend getting it for all members.

Welcome to your new guild site!  If you haven't noticed we are running on WowStead. There are a number of features to setup and enable. Including an option to go premium with some cool additions. Tell me what you think and what we need below.
